Genre: Vehicular Combat Developer: Luxoflux Publisher: Activision Data: 18.2.2000 Format: .cdi "Twisted what? This game rules in car combat."
Introduction: Activision's Vigilante 8: Second Offense is the sequel to the BEST car combat game on the Playstation, only this time Dreamcast gamers are getting into the fun. V82O features new levels, new characters, new missions, and a new story, yet it still retains the fun gameplay of the original. You will be satisfied to the max with this game!
Graphics: The graphics are very inspiring and make you want to drive for hours across the vast regions of the United States. The background are sharp and quite detailed. The car models, while simplistic, are nice to look at. The colorful blasts from the various explosions also shine with clarity. In 2-4 player modes, some details and structures are left out. However, there is nothing to be ashamed about when showing off the splendor to your friends. 8/10
Sound: Keeping with the theme of the game, the music is straight from the 70's: well, most of it. While by themselves, these funky disco songs seem corny, they help the overall gaming experience. In fact, they motivate you to keep driving the wide variety of vehicles, most of which were popular in the 70's. Sound effects also come into play during the game, in a huge way. The various weapons and the amusing voices are never muffled, but always clear. The voice acting helps to move along the story, and adds humor to the already funny game. 9/10
Control Making the transition from the Playstation controller to the Dreamcast controller must not have been a hard task, as the controls are extremely tight. Most of the time, you feel like you have the car by its steering wheel. Spinning a car around quickly, selecting weapons, changing views, and firing the many weapons is never difficult to pull off. There are a few minor problems, such as being flipped up in the air for endless amounts of time due to the environment. An example of this is when you find the floatation device for your vehicle: you can be flipped over and stuck upside down in the water, unable to turn back over. Fortunately, there is a button combo(explained in the manual) which allows you to disengage the devices which you can attach to your vehicle. This problem hinders the experience in no way, however. 9/10
Story: The story, while not extremely engaging, does help the transition from level to level. It also allows you to understand the three gangs and their motivation. There is a different ending for every character, which is usually humorous. 6/10
Gameplay: A vital piece of the game, this is only an improvement from the original game. From mission to mission, you will have a blast. Even with sometime silly mission objectives, such as pick-up a briefcase, you will find yourself having fun. The missions are very easy to get involved in too. There are enough additions in V820 to make even a veteran V8 player want to pick this one up. 9/10
Replay Value: The replay value is extremely great. It should be, as you can beat the game with one character in just a few hours. Fortunately, there are new levels to open and multiple cars to unlock. You can also upgrade each and every car by destroying other enemies and collecting upgrades. This can take quite a bit of time for each character. There are 3 primary single player modes: Arcade, Quest, and Survival. Each offering hours of fun. But it gets better, as 2-4 players can enjoy the experience as well. These modes run great, if you can get used to the small screen for each character. 10/10
Summary: This game is excellent and you will not be disappointed if you spend your hard earned money on it. There is plenty of replay value, something lacking in many of today's video games. Car combat games are somewhat sparse on the Dreamcast, but even if there were dozens of games in the genre, Vigilante 8: Second Offense would rule them all. Buggy Heat (TNN Motorsports Hardcore Heat in USA) is an off-road racing video game for the Dreamcast, developed by CRI and published in the Europe by Sega.
This is one or the not so good racing games on the Dreamcast and there’s not very man of those. The game is pretty cool and looks good but it has some problems that should have been dealt with before the game went into production. The controls are kind of awkward and are kinda weird to control. You can actually slide sideways on this game which is pretty cool and makes the game interesting but makes it challenging for first time players of this game. The graphics look good but aren’t the best in some areas. I will go into more detail about them in the sections below. The sound and music in the Buggy Heat is heat is pretty good. It has a Vs mode for 2 players, which makes the game pretty fun while play 2 player vs. mode. The game has four different modes of play. Championship where you play 3 different modes of difficulty to win the championship. Time Attack where you race through tracks complete them fast. The practice mode to just mess around with and explore the way the controls work of the game. A cool thing about the game is that you can customize your cars settings from braking speed to the color of your paint. You can also pick out decals but they are limited just like the paint job color is. The game starts off easy but gets harder. It’s a good game just not one of the best racing games for the Dreamcast.

Resident Evil 2, known as Biohazard 2 (バイオハザード2 Baiohazādo Tsū?) in Japan, is a survival horror video game by Capcom originally released for the PlayStation in 1998. The second installment in the Resident Evil series, its story takes place two months after the events of the first game. It is set in Raccoon City, a Midwestern American mountain community whose residents have been turned into zombies by the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella. In their escape from the city, the two protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield encounter other survivors and are confronted by William Birkin, the mutated creator of the even more powerful G-virus.
The gameplay of Resident Evil 2 primarily focuses on exploration, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies, although the title also contains typical elements of the survival horror genre, such as limited saves and ammunition. The main improvement over the predecessor is the "Zapping System" that provides each playable character with a different scenario featuring unique storylines and puzzles. Developed by a team of 40 to 50 people over the course of one year and nine months, Resident Evil 2 was directed by Hideki Kamiya and produced by Shinji Mikami. The initial version of the game, commonly referred to as Resident Evil 1.5, differed drastically from the released product and was scrapped at a development stage of 60–80 percent, deemed too dull and boring by the producer. The resulting redesign introduced different settings and a more cinematic story presentation, supported by a soundtrack that employs "desperation" as the underlying theme of the musical compositions.
Following the initial success on the PlayStation, Resident Evil 2 was ported to Microsoft Windows, the Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and Nintendo GameCube, and was released as a modified 2.5D version for the Game.com handheld. Well-received by critics, the game was praised for its atmosphere, setting, graphics, and audio, but criticized for its controls, voice acting, and some of its gameplay elements. Years after its first release, Resident Evil 2 was included in several lists of the 100 best games, has become a million-seller, and is the franchise's most successful title on a single platform. The story of the game was retold and built upon in several later games, and adapted into a variety of licensed works.

Cool Cool Toon (クルクルトゥーン) is an interactive 3D rhythm-comic game developed by SNK for the Dreamcast, making it one of the last games the company developed for the console. The title is also capable of linking with its Neo Geo Pocket Color companion title, Cool Cool Jam. Both titles were released on August 10, 2000 in Japan. The games were never licensed or localized to any other country.
The gameplay has often been compared with another rhythm game at the time, Space Channel 5, by fans and critics alike. Main visuals and character designs were done by comic book artist and illustrator, Ippei Gyoubu.
References to the game and some of its characters were later featured in one of the stages in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum.
StoryEdit
The story given by SNK is as follows:
Welcome to Cool Cool Toon! One day, while you were watching TV, a rabbit(?) jumped out from the monitor and dragged you into the TV!
"Uwah! Where is this? What's going on!?"
And there before your eyes was the town full of monsters, "Cool Cool Town". Then the rabbit said,
"My name's Yusa. I brought you here to so that you can use your Flitz -I mean- dances to clean up this town."
But, you explain, you aren't the dancing type.
"Eh!? ... Well, I guess you can go back home through that TV. Huh? This TV's no good. Something seems to be wrong with it."
Uh oh! Seems like you can't go back to your own world. And then Yusa said,
"Listen to me! In this world, Flitz is the best way of doing things around here. So if you win the "Flitzing Tournament" and get the grand prize, you just might find a TV that'll send you back. Y'know, to your home. You do want to go home, right? Then it's settled! I've got a lot to teach you then, and we've got a lot of Flitzing to do!"
And just like that, together with Yusa, you have to aim to be the Flitzing champion to Cool Cool Town. L'see now, wonder what things will be waiting for you up ahead... OverviewEdit
The game's cutscenes are 2D comic pages while gameplay is 3D, hence the genre. Like most rhythm games, music choices mainly focus on the hip-hop, J-pop, and rock genre. Visuals are unlike standard SNK flair, as all of the characters are vibrant in color with a cartoony abstract or surreal feel. Although the game's setting is full of monsters and other evil creatures, the characters -as well as the entire mood of the game- are pretty light-hearted, each with their own wacky character traits to make them stand out from the rest.
The gameplay consists of "Flitzing" (or dancing) to defeat the player's opponents. A typical flitz lasts the length of a three-minute song, and requires players to move the analog pad and press buttons in sequence to the song's beat. A transparent circle is overlaid on top of the action. White ovals will close in on button icons around the diameter of the circle in a clock-wise motion -- when they turn white, you hit the corresponding key. In certain instances, you're required to make a circular motion with the pad. There are two different scenarios for the player to complete: Amp (boy) or Spica (girl). Each one has its differences for players to explore.
Players can also return to Yusa's house in between each Flitz to save the game, watch previous Flitz matches, or change your character's outfits. An on-line option was also available, as players can use the points earned after a Flitz to buy additional exclusive outfits from the game's webpage. Cool Cool JamEdit
The NGPC version follows the adventures of Wav (boy) and Midi (girl) in Musey Town, a neighboring city of Cool Cool Town. The main focus of this game is to start a band to find the way back home, using mini-games where the player needs to compose pieces with instruments. Points earned in this game can be transferred to the Dreamcast version, allowing players to unlock more costumes and characters.
The game can be played by one or two players. In two player mode the game plays like a duet; the players take it in turn to play tune and receive a message after completion. The game also features a single player storymode which has adventure game elements. Various instruments can be played in the game. Each instrument has a different playing style. The instruments include:

Shenmue II English speech (don’t full and full speech)

There are quite a few ways to play this game and swap CD's since the game is somewhat non-linear.
Here are some of the routes you can take:
